Meet Loco, a lively elderly dog who has just achieved a major milestone in her life. Animal shelter birthdays usually go unnoticed, but the Spartanburg Humane Society staff wanted to make Loco’s day unforgettable and memorable.
Angel Cox, the COO of the Spartanburg Humane Society, revealed that Loco was decked out in a birthday hat and frilly collar while being showered with a heartfelt song from the entire staff. A sweet potato cake was served, and Loco enjoyed every bite of it. The company responsible for the cake even gave her a Happy Birthday banner for her office door. Unfortunately, no dogs were invited to the party, but Loco had all her favorite people around her on her special day.
Cox shared that Loco has a unique way of choosing her companions, only forming bonds with a select few. However, when she does love, it is with all her heart. On the other hand, those she dislikes will be met with strong aversion, and she does not get along well with other dogs. Nonetheless, despite not having any furry friends around, everyone present enjoyed celebrating the vibrant and lovable Loco, who has captured their affection for the past couple of years.
