Nevertheless, in 2015, Kardi was diagnosed with intervertebral disc disease (IVDD) at the young age of 4, which took an unforeseen turn in her life. Despite being paralyzed in her hind legs and losing bowel control, Kardi remained strong-willed and content. She managed to learn how to navigate the world with remarkable determination using a pink Walkin’ Wheels wheelchair.
Kardi, who gained fame for her speedy wheelchair and even won Halloween costume contests, faced another obstacle when she was diagnosed with bladder cancer (TCC) in 2020. Despite being given a limited time to live, Kardi’s resilience and her friend Kelsey’s unwavering determination continued to shine through.
